Chapter 18: Love in Full Bloom

The tension between them shifted after his confession. The walls weren’t so high anymore. Gunnu bantered as always, but her touches grew softer, lingering. Abhinav, usually so restrained, allowed himself the sweetness of brushing her hair aside, of pulling her close when no one watched.

Their nights shifted too—no longer marked by walls of silence, but by hesitant laughter, whispered secrets, hands learning, hearts racing. Gunnu laughed once, blushing, “Do soldiers get training manuals for this too?”

He chuckled softly, rare and deep. “For you, I’m learning without orders.”

The room, once foreign, now carried warmth. There was still discovery, still awkwardness, still innocence mixed with intensity. But love had bloomed without them realizing, slow and steady as roots cracking through stone.
